Scheherazade School Mission

The Scheherazade School of Dance & Sacred Movement is dedicated to preserving the artistic and spiritual legacy of traditional movement arts, and reintegrating ancient and tribal embodied healing techniques in modern times. We are here to support the emergence of the Feminine through embodied art and ritual, cultivating a warm and loving sacred space for women and men to move, laugh and play.

Believing the power of dance to uplift, inspire, and heal, we draw from tried-and-true traditional embodied healing practices designed to unlock the body, connect the heart, and awaken the spirit.
We offer an integrated dance and movement education that honors the rich multiplicity and layered dimensions of the movement arts from artistic/expressive, cultural/historical, and spiritual/therapeutic perspectives; highlighting the rich traditions of dance and movement from the ancient soils of Central Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East.

The Scheherazade School offerings include: private coaching, monthly community events, lecture-demo presentations, cultural dance history courses, workshops, retreats, and classes. If you would like to receive our monthly newsletter and updates please JOIN OUR LIST
